How can representative democracy be strengthened? The Social Science Research Council launched a new Anxieties of Democracy program to bring together leading scholars to investigate this question. Hahrie is participating in the Working Group of Participation.

In October, Hahrie presented research on movement building at the Yale Conference on Building Public and Political Will for Climate Action. 

On September 25, Hahrie keynoted Organise 2015, a conference sponsored by the Centre for Australian Progress to support grassroots organisers in Australia. Here she is Skyping into the conference with Anita Tang, who moderated the discussion.

Speaking at the Health Foundation's #qiInitiative Conference, Helen Bevan, the Chief of Service Transformation at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, called How Organizations Develop Activists the "best book on improvement in the past year."
