In  April, Hahrie wrote an article for The Nation that describes the Crossroads Church, a mega-church in Cincinnati, Ohio that brings 38,000 people together each weekend for worship. With the motto, "You belong before you believe," they are also able to hold together people with across partisan and racial divides in a way that is unusual in 21st century America. The article describes work they did on racial reconciliation within the church, and a campaign for Issue 44 in Ohio-- a $48 million municipal levy that created a universal preschool program to support K-12 education.
